Today was last day of workshops. We went to the National Park together in morning, it is near to our venue. In backyard we played human chess, splitting last time in teams in our group. Also today was time for evaluation of the project, our work and involvement. As last thing we gave feedback to each other on paper on back of each of us. Departures starts today late evening, saying bye soon.
Let me tell you a story - Grandparents
Welcome to the blog about the youth exchang organised by HEureka Generator
Krasnystaw, Zamość, back...
We visited school in Krasnystaw today, told more about the projects,
Erasmus plus and particularly our project to 16-18 years old students.
After that was organised excursion in Zamość. Participants from
our group got certificates for shooting with cannon there. We
met youngsters in centre and gave them leaflets designed to popularise
the project 'Let me tell you a story – Grandparents'.
Working on material
Today was day of hard work on materials we have from the interviews, making articles. Also we are preparing for lessons at school in Krasnystaw and meeting with local community in Zamość. Work with computers and creative work during making leaflets.
We are taking interviews
We were working today in groups to make interviews. We needed to split responsibilities for productive work. It was needed to make recordings, videos, pictures, notes, translate into english. There is still a lot of workafter interviews, we already started.
Day with pattern interview
Today was pattern interview. Barbara Szleszyńska-Malec
came to us in Zwierzyniec, for two hours interview about
her life. That was made to understand how interviews should
look like, how to translate, make notes and ask additional questions.Theater play day
Today we were working in pairs, in big and small groups. We presented key competences, made theater workshop, made theater play. That was day full of cooperation. Now we know how to fill out the second part of Youthpass, we know how to work together. Also we improoved our public speaking skills, went out from the comfort zone. This will be useful not only for work here, but also in future for each of us.

Learning from previous experience
Today participants and leaders who were on previous parts of „Let me tell you...” introduced to all participants how whole process of making publications looked like. We spoke about preparations, making interviews, importance of topics and work with material after. Now we are ready to start to work hard all together.
We want to know each other
We have started the youth exchange successfully. Days for integration and building the team almost past. Soon we are starting to work. Here are some photos from first and second day:
P.S. check our Instagram stories for more 😊
It was APV...
Project
is in progress. We are already after the APV (Advanced Planning
Visit) where we discussed with partners plan of the youth exchange,
contracts, rules, preparations for each group. APV is important part
for building trust and connection between leaders. We also prepared
video to show you how it was:

What is the youth exchange about?
‘Let
me tell you a story’ is a series of the projects where young people,
youth workers and seniors of our local societies can cooperate
together learning from each other. It bases on very interesting
method called ‘Living history lesson’. Group on international
youth exchange meet representative of previous generation and have
chance to make interview about life of this person (being focused on
interesting European historical period of time).
Idea
of project series is very successful and was already awarded few
times. So far we have made 6 parts of it. 3 youth exchanges and 1
seminar in Poland, 1 youth exchange in Romania and 1 youth exchange
in Czech Republic.
We
are still searching for new possibilities and partners. We decided to
make mixed partnership here consisted of our most experienced
partners and also organizations which we know but were not involved
so far in ‘Let me tell you a story’ youth exchange.
Our
idea in this part is to make interviews with older generations of our
families. Participants will have chance to interview their
grandparents before coming to Poland. During youth exchange in Poland
we will interview grandparents of polish group members. Topic of the
interview will be: historical period of XX century and daily life. We
believe that through this we can deepen family bounds and show to our
grandparents how big source of knowledge and experience they are. We
will produce publication with interviews and movie about our project.
